General information about the pool league...
WAL-MAC has offered fun, yet competitive pool leagues in the Edmonton area since 1991. We are members of the Valley National 8-Ball Association (VNEA)
and the Billiard Congress of America (BCA). WAL-MAC Pool League members compete in weekly matches, fun tournaments and our own WAL-MAC POOL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT at the end of each season. Each year many members travel to compete in the prestigious VNEA INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT in Las Vegas.
THE WAL-MAC 100% RULE applies to the pool league and all other WAL-MAC Leagues. The 100% Rule means that 100% of prize dues are paid back as cash prizes, trophies, and tournament trips to 100% of the teams. Advertising, promotion, and administration are subsidized entirely by WAL-MAC AMUSEMENTS LTD. and supported by league taverns and lounges.
Pool is the most popular game played among adults in taverns and
lounges in the greater Edmonton Area. Thousands of players across
North America meet at their favourite lounges and taverns to enjoy a
night out with friends playing their favourite game. WAL-MAC offers
a wide variety of leagues so there is something for everyone.
Most WAL-MAC leagues have a handicapping system to help create a fair and level playing field for players with a range of skill levels. Registration and start up is early fall for most of the leagues but some leagues start in November, January
and June.
If you would like to register a team, join an existing team, or for more information call the WAL-MAC League Office at (780) 466-1702.
All teams that participate in a WAL-MAC league are eligible to compete in the season end Championship Tournament.
WAL-MAC Leagues are designed with FUN as the main objective. WAL-MAC offers pool and foosball leagues for all levels of play. If your
favourite location does not currently offer the league of your choice, call WAL-MAC at (780) 466-1702 and we would be happy to assist you with your league needs.
